Every fake review on a contractor's website looks identical: a first name, a last initial, a town, four sentences of praise with no detail in them. In a county of roughly three and a half thousand households, that trick would last about a week before somebody asked who Karen T. of Hartsville actually is.

So there is nothing here. Not because the work has gone badly, but because we started recently and honest feedback takes time to accumulate. When it does arrive it will go on this page attributed to a real customer at a real address who agreed to it, alongside the job it refers to and the photographs from that job. If you are reading this in the early months and would rather hire somebody with a wall of ratings, that is a completely sensible thing to do and we will not argue with it. What the guarantee actually covers

Depth: the stump is ground to the depth stated in your quote, measured from the existing grade, and if bedrock or a hardpan stops the wheel short you are told at the time and the grind goes wider to compensate. Sprouting: on species that sucker, the structural laterals are chased out beyond the trunk, and if shoots come up from ground we worked within twelve months we come back and deal with them at no charge.

Ground condition: matting goes down on turf routes. If the machine ruts a lawn beyond what was discussed, repairing it is our cost, not yours. Price: the invoice equals the quote unless you agreed to a change on the phone while the job was paused. Property: anything of yours damaged by our machine gets repaired or replaced, and there is insurance behind that sentence rather than just goodwill.

How the feedback will get collected

Not by a follow-up sequence and not by an app nagging you three days later. The way it will work is that when a job finishes you get the photographs, and with them one question in plain words: was there anything about it you would tell somebody else, good or otherwise. If you write something back and are happy for it to be published, it goes up with your first name and your road.

What we would particularly like is the awkward feedback. If the grind came in shallower than you expected, or the pile was bigger than you were warned about, or the truck sat somewhere inconvenient for two hours, that is worth more to a new business than a compliment. Complaints get answered by whoever did the work, on the same day, and where we got it wrong the fix is at our cost. That is a cheaper thing to promise than it sounds, because in a county this size the alternative is not surviving.
